3:15pm @ Monroe Woodbury HS, Central Valley, NY
Join us for a joyous afternoon of musicmaking, as we celebrate the outstanding young musicians of the Hudson Valley. After a special prelude performance by the Hudson Valley Honors Youth Wind Ensemble, the New York Wind Symphony will call to the stage clarinet virtuoso Mark Nuccio, associate principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic as we accompany him on Aaron Copland’s venerable Clarinet Concerto.
Bookending this special performance will be John Williams’ majestic Liberty Fanfare and John Mackey’s uplifting Aurora Awakes. Before the concert begins, The Hudson Valley Performing Arts Foundation will be sponsoring a performing arts college fair gathering the top colleges and conservatories in the country under one roof!
